Master's Commission: Going Deeper by Kelli Mahoney, About.com
The Hands On Discipleship Experience While other people go off to college, you may believe you are called to go deeper into your faith. Master's Commission may be just what you are looking for. Master's Commission is a hands-on discipleship program that “provides a balanced growth environment to develop and equip the whole person.” At Master's Commission your studies will be devoted to Godly disciplines so that you will find direction at any point in your life.
What Is Master's Commission? Each Masters’ Commission is a little different, but they all belong to the Master's Commission International Network. Programs run from 9 months to 2 years. The programs blend academics with leadership, outreach, and discipleship training. Some Master's Commission programs have affiliations with local colleges, so they are able to combine classes that provide some college credits. Still, the main focus of the programs is to prepare the individual to be a stronger Christian in the real world.
Where Can I Find a Master’s Commission? There are hundreds of Master's Commissions around the world. You can find one in almost every state (some states have several) and in several countries like Nicaragua, El Salvador, Austria, France, Ireland, Madrid, and more. Students will have to go through an application process, and each Master's Commission has a different application. |

MCGC is an intense discipleship program which equips people to effectively reach their city, state, country, and world for the cause of Christ. Master's Commission was established and exists today with five core values: discipleship, worship, prayer, scripture memorization, and evangelism. These values ware instilled within every disciple that lives this powerful experience.
Students build a strong foundation as they daily practice scripture memorization, personal devotions, consistent prayer time, servant hood, and positive study habits. They develop the skills of relationship building, mentoring, and public speaking to help them fulfill the awesome responsibility of making Christ known to the world. The most incredible benefit of Master's Commission is the opportunity each individual has to get to know God and develop a personal, intimate relationship with Him. Each person will learn how much God loves them and wants to anoint their lives for use in His Kingdom. They learn how to rely solely on Him as He teaches them and develops their talents.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2009-2010 session of MCGC. The program will begin as students move in September, 2009. There will be a two week vacation for Christmas and the program ends with graduation in June of 2010.

Dear Future Student,
As Senior Pastor, I would like to invite you to consider becoming part of our 13th year class, 2008-2009, at MCGC. The Holy Spirit placed the vision and burden to start Master’s Commission in my heart in 1995. Our leadership and congregation embraced this ministry and we have been blessed with 11 wonderful years as an affiliate program.
Our church first became of aware of Master’s Commission in 1992. Twice we had Lloyd Ziegler and an MC team from Phoenix First Assembly at our HCC Youth Conference. In 1993, our oldest son went to the Phoenix program, graduating in 1994. His experience was positive and helped direct his life path.
We are a ministry family. Dianne and I both began preaching as teenagers. We each have over 40 years of ministry experience. We have two sons and both are ordained ministers and successful in their fields of service, Sean in Arizona, and Marty in Arkansas. It would seem one of our strengths is “mentoring for ministry.” That is the name of my weekly class for MCGC students.
I will be praying with you for God’s will in your life and for the Holy Spirit to give you clear direction. Where he guides he also provides. If he does direct you to MCGC, we look forward to seeing what God will do as we work together in pursuit of his presence and purpose.
If you, your parents, or pastors have questions or wish to speak to me personally, please feel free to contact me through the church office, (513) 887-5433 Ext.1.
In His Grip,
Pastor Johnny Wade Sloan |
